The sizes below are based on standard girls' body proportions. Children of the same age may have different measurements, so we recommend measuring your child and comparing the results with the chart rather than relying on age alone.

If your child has a particularly slim or fuller body shape, or if her measurements differ significantly from the chart, please contact us before ordering. Custom sizing may be available for selected dresses.

How to Take Your Child's Measurements

Use a soft measuring tape and have your child stand naturally while measurements are taken. Keep the tape level and comfortably snug, without pulling it too tightly.

Kids' Dress Measurement Guide

1. Bust

Measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping the tape horizontal across the back. The tape should be snug but should not compress the body.

2. Waist

Measure around the natural waist, usually the narrowest part of the torso. Keep the child relaxed and do not pull the tape too tightly.

3. Hips

Measure around the fullest part of the hips and seat, keeping the tape level all the way around.

4. Hollow to Floor

Measure from the hollow at the base of the neck, between the collarbones, straight down to the floor. The child should stand upright with feet together and be barefoot for this measurement.

Choosing the Correct Dress Length

Floor-Length Dresses

For a floor-length dress, take the bust, waist, hips and hollow-to-floor measurements. Consider the shoes the child will wear when checking the intended finished length.

Short, Mini, Knee-Length and Tea-Length Dresses

These styles may require a hollow-to-hem measurement instead of hollow-to-floor. Measure from the hollow between the collarbones straight down to the point where you want the dress hem to fall.
